Terms of Service
Last updated: July 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of CodeBodia. The short version: you own your content, portfolios are public by design, be honest about your work, and don't abuse the platform.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using CodeBodia, you agree to these terms. If you are using CodeBodia on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure — you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Your handle must not impersonate another person or organization, and reserved words (such as admin or api) are not available.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or use the platform under your school's supervision.
3. Your content & ownership
You own everything you publish on CodeBodia — your bio, projects, screenshots, and other portfolio content. By publishing, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host and display that content so we can operate the service (for example, showing your public portfolio and listing it in search).
You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, including project screenshots and code you link to.
4. Public portfolios
Portfolios exist to be seen. Content you mark public is visible to anyone, may appear in browse and search results, and can be indexed by search engines. Projects you mark private are not shown publicly. You can edit or remove your content at any time.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Publish content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights.
- Misrepresent your identity, experience, or authorship of work.
- Upload malware or use the platform to distribute harmful code.
- Scrape, spam, or abuse the platform's APIs and public pages beyond reasonable use.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or non-public data.
6. Schools & organizations
Schools using CodeBodia to showcase student portfolios are responsible for obtaining any consent required from students (or their guardians) and for the accuracy of information they publish about their programs.
7. CodeBodia's intellectual property
The CodeBodia name, logo, design, and platform code are ours. These terms don't grant you any right to use them outside of normal use of the service.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable. On termination, your public content is removed from the platform.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
CodeBodia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, that your portfolio will lead to job offers, or the accuracy of content published by other users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeBodia is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
